I cannot believe that Mo and I have already been in Massachusetts for a month! We are making the most of every day here and are excited to share our adventures with you.
We have had so much fun exploring the city of Boston, getting lost in our new neighborhood (ok, ok that was just me), spending a weekend in Cape Cod and enjoying our time out here together! I’ll be posting more with more frequent updates of our adventures now that this blog is finally up and running, so come back soon. If you have any advice on places we should check out, leave me a comment and let me know!
Our send-off party: A fun, 4th of July themed party filled with family, friends and of course… good food. Those Boston Cream Cupcakes that my sister and I made were, well you make them and you’ll understand! The night ended with farewell and good wishes shots of whiskey and some intense games of ping-pong. Congrats to Anna and Sam winning the bags tournament!
The Niagara Falls: This was my first time seeing the Falls and Mo is a witness that when I got my first glimpse of the Falls, my mouth dropped open… and stayed open the whole time we were there!
Our first weekend in Boston: We explored the North End of Boston for our 6 month anniversary and loved our first floppy pizza experience, listening to the Boston accents and eating canolis from the famous Mike’s Pastries! This picture was taken near the Christopher Columbus park- can you smell that ocean breeze?!
Iron Girl Sprint Triathlon: One of my best friends, Jill came to visit Hil and me so naturally, we signed up for a triathlon! 1/3 mile swim, 12 mile BRUTAL bike and finished with a 5k run. Our supporters were the absolute best sports of us all.
Cape Cod: We stayed at Captain Farris’ Bed & Breakfast and had a perfect weekend to enjoy the adorable Cape Cod area! We watched seals bob their heads up in the ocean, swam in 58 degree water, biked 40 miles, went dancing and enjoyed LOTS of great food… even seafood for me!
Boston Duck Tour: This past weekend we went on a duck tour (Mo’s first time!), which was a great way for us to see more of what Boston is all about. That is, until our duck broke down! At least that didn’t happen while we were in the water!
Lots more adventures to come! We miss all of our family and friends and would love to hear your thoughts or advice on places to see while we are in the East Coast!
So fun!
